Daichi Kamada is expected to decide his future with Lazio soon as his contract starts to draw to a close.

The 27-year-old Japanese midfielder joined the Biancocelesti on a free transfer last summer after his Milan transfer collapsed, putting pen to paper on a one-year contract with an option for a further three years.

After showing some positives in the early weeks of the season, Kamada struggled to find regularity of Maurizio Sarri’s system, often leaving him on the Lazio bench. He has featured more often since the arrival of Igor Tudor, starting in the coach’s first three Serie A games.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Kamada is set to decide his future in the coming weeks as his contract with Lazio starts to draw to a close. He has the choice to take advantage of a clause that’ll allow him to pay €100 to extend his deal to June 2027.

Should he choose not to pay, he’d be allowed to leave on a free transfer at the end of June. In recent months, he’s been linked with a return to Eintracht Frankfurt.
