The Bengals might get Charlie Jones activated off of injured reserve this week as the offense continues to round into form with a healthy Joe Burrow.
Jones has been out for the past four games with a thumb injury.
"We'll see," head coach Zac Taylor said about Jones. "I think it's coming sooner rather than later, but we'll make that decision here shortly."
Jones could add an instant boost to certain wide receiver sets and he also has eight punt returns for 150 yards and a touchdown this season. More short fields for Joe Burrow can't hurt.
Taylor also said the team came out largely injury-free outside of the ding to Trey Hendrickson's ankle that knocked him out for a few plays in the 31-17 win over San Francisco.
"A couple of guys nicked up may manage them during the week but otherwise, I think at this point pretty good," Taylor concluded about the injuries.
Hendrickson's injury will get managed throughout the week and he's expected to keep playing amidst a five-game sack streak.
