Titans add veteran offensive lineman
USA TODAY Sports

The Tennessee Titans need help on the offensive line that won't be provided at this point in the regular season. That being said, they're adding another veteran player to the OL room.

On Wednesday, the Titans announced that they claimed offensive lineman Calvin Throckmorton.

The lineman was waived by the Carolina Panthers on Tuesday.

To make the addition of Throckmorton, Tennessee placed linebacker Chance Campbell on injured reserve.

Throckmorton started the past seven games for the Panthers. All of those came on the inside of the OL (four at RG & three at LG). Throckmorton started 20 games for the Saints prior to joining Carolina this season.

In his NFL career, Throckmorton has played in 40 games.

Last season, he received a measly 38.4 PFF grade for his blocking in New Orleans. In his games with the Panthers this season, he's received a 50.6 grade from PFF. He's already played more snaps this season compared to last season.

Throckmorton spent time at guard, tackle, and center during his college career at Oregon.

It'll be intriguing to see if he can carve out a role on a struggling OL for the Titans.
