How LA Fans Feel About Team's Spencer Dinwiddie Addition
USA TODAY Sports

One week removed from your Los Angeles Lakers' decision to make no trades but instead sign Spencer Dinwiddie to their open roster spot off the buyout market, NBA fans have taken to X to weigh in.

One fan believes the Dinwiddie piece is not the issue -- head coach Darvin Ham's weird predilection for three-guard lineups is.

Elsewhere, fans questioned the defensive acumen of a hypothetical triple-guard lineup comprising starters D'Angelo Russell and Austin Reaves alongside Dinwiddie, who at 6'5" can slide up a spot, or could play small forward with Reaves sticking at shooting guard.

Another LA appreciator was pessimistic about the fit and Dinwiddie in general. To be fair, the Colorado product has been having a down year, especially from a shooting perspective:

Meanwhile, one concerned citizen wants to make sure Lakers fans don't overreact if Dinwiddie starts off a bit slowly before acclimating himself fully to his hometown team.

Across two contests with LA so far, Dinwiddie is averaging eight points on .500/.333/1.000 shooting splits, 5.5 assists, two steals and one rebound. The Lakers have won both games with him in the lineup, as the team's new de facto sixth man (he's averaging 29.5 minutes per bout with them, near-starter level).
