U.S. swimmers celebrate end of Olympic run by binging at McDonald's

How do a pair of swimmers celebrate the end of their competition at the Olympics? Apparently by stuffing their faces with a giant meal at McDonald's.
That's just what Americans Ricky Berens and Conor Dwyer did Tuesday night. Both of their London programs came to a close after helping launch Michael Phelps into history as part of the gold-medal winning 4x200 freestyle team earlier that night. The two swimmers then went to McDonald's and treated themselves to a Phelps-sized feast.
And after months and months of being on the strict diet required to be a world-class athlete, how can you not?
"We had a dinner date at McDonald's," Berens said Wednesday on "Today." "We put so much pressure on this meet. We sacrifice so much for the Olympic Games. We eat so healthily and we try to do everything right. It's our time to relax. That McDonald's in the dining hall was just calling our names."
Berens tweeted the above photo of his dinner with the message, "Finally!!!! The end of season celebration dinner! mcdonalds!! Yes all for me!"
By the looks of it, that's two Quarter Pounders with cheese, two orders of fries, a Big Mac, six chicken McNuggets and a Rolo McFlurry. I think I got sick just writing all that. Berens later said on Twitter he couldn't finish.
Even still, Berens is going to have all the time he wants to eat McDonald's now. At 24, he said he's retiring from swimming.
