Serena Williams performs impressive Crip Walk after winning gold medal (Video)
Serena Williams on Saturday continued her tennis hot streak by demolishing Maria Sharapova, 6-0, 6-1, and taking gold in women's singles.
It's Serena's first Olympic singles gold medal and third overall. And after the match she also treated us to what we're guessing is another Olympic first: a Crip Walk, which is pretty much the most anti-pinky-in-the-air thing you'll see at the prissy All England Club. I imagine this is what it would be like to see Lil Wayne drinking from his Styrofoam cup at Augusta National.
Anyway, here's her outstanding celebratory dance, which I'm sure a bunch of uptight old folks are going to complain about because it's gang related:
That's awesome. Good thing there's no surly Russian judge around to give it a bad score.
Serena and her sister Venus are also hoping to win gold in the doubles tournament. And if that happens, maybe we'll see the Harlem Shake. But I'm holding out hope for the Bernie.

The dance Serena did after winning the gold medal at the Olympics has been performed by perfectly innocent teenagers and even elementary school children for years now. It has nothing to do with "gangs!" Between FOX'S last sour comment about GabRIELLE Douglas' name anagrams and now FOX'S "last word" on Serena, looks like white-supremacist FOX'S stupid penchant for "terrorist fist-bump" comments where decent black people are concerned is still a problem. For FOX! Shaking my head.

Absolutely right! The American thumbs up (to the US) means good, everything's OK, but to the rest of the world it means "up your rectum". And the "OK" hand gesture in the rest of the world means anus. The Texas "Hook 'em Horns" hand gesture to the rest of the world means Satan. The swatsticka was a peaceful religious symbol for centuries and now, some can only see it as Nazi.
When you work the Olympics you are taught to not use these and some other hand gestures.
It is all about culture and choosing an interpretation. Some see the Crips as a home grown, murderous terrorist drug pushing gang and others see their invented dance as "a piece of home." I guess it depends on how far removed you are from the original intentional interpretation. Sick used to mean you were ill and now it means you are extra special good.

Exactly, she can't be happy with just winning; she has to demean the loser, make the loser feel even worst that she is already feeling. On other hand, many times she throws a fit when she is losing. Olympic committee should penalize her some way just like T.O. has been penalized many times by NFL. Her father trained her well to play tennis, but he obviously skipped the good manners lessons. I usually turn off the TV whenever she is playing, it’s boring; if it wouldn’t be for hers boom, man like serves, she wouldn’t stand a chance.
To defenders of her action; sorry but the dance is associated with gangster types, absolutely inappropriate on world stage. Her reaction to objections? Typical; I don’t care.
