Keep in mind that Fox so-called news is really fascist propaganda from the Republicans, the American version of the German Nazi party, and they use projectionist propaganda because it confuses and convinces the ignorant so confoundly that Fox has helped the Republican party to get a lot of non-thinking people to vote against their own socio-economic vested interests.

Now that I've said that, let's get back on task. This is about Mr. Phelp's appearance. That is his business, and he will take care of that matter when other matters like focus and his own preparations for competition are in place.

Phelps is a very good swimmer, but that is all. He does not seem to care about anything else. This picture is proof of that...everyone else looks fine, and I am sure some of them were sleeping. Also, the fact that he will not walk in the opening ceremonies. Everyone is, and many of them are in the swimming competitions. I don't care what it is Phelps has an excuse for it. Outside of his swimming he make us all look bad.

"He does not seem to care about anything else"? I should hope not; he's an athlete and his job focus is to swim and swim better than anyone else. I commend him for having an Olympic attitude rather than a "Reality TV-Kardashians-are important-I'm Worried about Snookie" attitude. Get real and get a life while you're at it.

Phelps is an American on our team whether or not he is making a joke is non of our business he passes a drug test to be there which I could care less if they have one thats up to them what they put in their body. but good lord people who cares its a pic. I, too, heard that he won't be at the opening ceremony. Why? He most assuredly has become a prima donna (sic) and it isn't pretty. He lacks the great charm and humble attitude of Mark Spitz who really dazzled all of us with his 7 medals, He remained a likeable Olympic champion for all these many years. Have any of you ever known a competitive swimmer? I attended Indian River Community College - winners of at least twenty (20) NCAA Jr. Swimming and Diving Championships !!!

High Quality Swimmers nearly always go through a 'grubby week' prior to any large competitions, it creates drag on their bodies while they are in training and then the shave everything and put the slick suits on and SLICE through the water when it matters!

It's a ritual! The rougher the look the better the mind-set going into the Meet.

Jealousy has always prompted people to show the object of their jealousy in their worst, or at least, not their best form. Phelps has more natural athletic ability at least in swimming than the vast majority of people on this planet. He has a leg and torso length short compared to the total span of his arms giving him exceptional reach for his swimming strokes.

I know that I am a good person and I have excelled in running and dog-handling in competitive dog obedience which is a finese itself, but if I decided to go to bed with my hair wet, I will wake up with a case of bed-head that has me wishing I took the time to dry it at least. Does anyones else want to be known for their appearance first thing in the morning or after a good sound nap? Mr. Phelps was probably trying to get the jet-lag behind him so he could tend to matters at hand like workouts to stay limber.

Another thing too, Mr. Phelps is passing up being in the opening ceremonies. He is just practicing good self-management and decision-making as a world-class athlete. He knews himself well-enough that marching in the opening ceremonies parade (which is optional) would not be conducive to the restfulness and focus he needs to perform his best in swim preliminaries the next day. I don't approve of everything he's done in his life, but give the guy a break!
