Anthony Davis forgets jersey; sits out first half

We expect rookies to make mistakes. That's what makes them rookies.
However, we don't expect forgetting your jersey to be one of those mistakes.
Alas, this unusual brainfart befell Team USA center Anthony Davis during Thursday's game against Nigeria. The Final Four Most Outstanding Player and NBA No. 1 draft pick had to sit out the first half of the American blowout win because he didn't have his jersey. Really. We can't make this stuff up.
The story was first reported by Craig Sager during NBC Sports Network's telecast, and no one with Sager's wardrobe is capable of telling a lie.
Davis' jersey resurfaced during halftime, and he played a good portion of the second half in the 156-73 blowout victory. "The Unibrow" finished with nine points and six rebounds in 15 minutes against the hapless Nigerians.
Here's guessing the New Orleans Hornets are going to make sure there are multiple Davis jerseys on hand for every game of the upcoming NBA season in the off chance this becomes some sort of habit.

If the score had been reversed, I'm quite sure Nigeria wouldn't be saying this . I never knew that there was a time in the game when you were supposed to stop scoring. Sounds like more poor sportsmanship when other teams get their butts handed to them.

What did you expect from a Kentucky "one and done" ???
