Serena Williams on Saturday continued her tennis hot streak by demolishing Maria Sharapova, 6-0, 6-1, and taking gold in women's singles.

It's Serena's first Olympic singles gold medal and third overall. And after the match she also treated us to what we're guessing is another Olympic first: a Crip Walk, which is pretty much the most anti-pinky-in-the-air thing you'll see at the prissy All England Club. I imagine this is what it would be like to see Lil Wayne drinking from his Styrofoam cup at Augusta National.

Anyway, here's her outstanding celebratory dance, which I'm sure a bunch of uptight old folks are going to complain about because it's gang related:

That's awesome. Good thing there's no surly Russian judge around to give it a bad score.

Serena and her sister Venus are also hoping to win gold in the doubles tournament. And if that happens, maybe we'll see the Harlem Shake. But I'm holding out hope for the Bernie.

Watching Olympics racewalking? Ya, neither are we. But glancing over our shoulders we can see it's being broadcast on BBC Olympics Channel 4. Maybe NBC will show it in the States in 10 hours. If not, you can get an idea of the excitement by watching the video above.

Don't be so quick to judge, however. Apparently one US Olympian, none other than Kevin Durant, is actually a fan. The Oklahoma Thunder star singled out the event Friday when asked what he plans to watch during his free time in Athletes Village.

"I want to watch some speed walking," he told The Guardian newspaper, incorrectly naming the event. "I didn't even know that was an Olympic sport."

Plug the last name of instant US sweetheart Gabby Douglas into any anagram maker on the Web and you're not likely to come up with much. "Soda Lug"? Um, OK. "Gad Sol?" Hmmm, that's not doing anything for me.

Give someone covering the Olympics several hours in a cramped room, however, and — voila! — something interesting reveals itself:

Douglas, rearranged, spells "USA Gold."

Maybe it was fate the she went on to make history at the 2012 London Games. Maybe not. Still, you gotta give it up for the cool anagram!

Former world champion sprinter Kim Collins had his London Olympic experience cut short on Saturday and was not allowed to compete in the final heat of the men’s 100-meter, but you will never guess why. Prior to Saturday’s race, Collins was sent home by his country for a violation of team rules. When we hear of something like that, we typically assume it has to do with drug testing or some sort of legal matter. You would likely never imagine that an Olympian would be sent home for visiting his wife in a hotel.

According to The Guardian, the team decided to take discplinary action against Collins — who carried the flag for St. Kitts and Nevis during the Opening Ceremony — after it learned that he had left the Olympic Village without permission to visit his wife. A team spokesman said Collins had been away from the village for “the last couple of days.” Collins took to Twitter early Saturday to express his frustration and disbelief.

“My fans. I won’t lie. Won’t be running later tonight,” he wrote. “For those who saw me run in Mexico, that’s the last time I represent my country. Even men in prison get their wives to visit.”

Rules may be rules, but it’s tough to argue that this isn’t a ridiculous decision. We hear stories about emergency shipments of condoms and people having sex out in the open in the Olympic Village and that’s all fine, but somehow a 36-year old man has to see his Olympic dreams come crashing down because he missed his wife. Between Collins’ story and the one about the shooting couple who wasn’t allowed to share a bed, I think it’s time some teams start rethinking their priorities in terms of rules governing the athletes’ personal lives.

Ryan Lochte is one of the best swimmers in the world, has six-pack abs, and a healthy bank account, but he still has at least one similarity to most people. The 11-time Olympic medalist admits he pees in the pool.

Lochte was asked whether Olympians pee in the pool during an interview with Ryan Seacrest.

“Of course," he said. "I think there’s just something about getting into chlorine water that you just automatically go. [I didn't] during the races, but I sure did in warm-up.”

The horror! At least a blue ring doesn't form around the Olympians when they pee in the pool like what happens at water parks (unless "Grown Ups" was lying). But I guess this admission from Lochte means Olympic swimmers have a tighter bond than we all realized, and we already knew they were pretty close.

There are poor sports in just about every corner of the sporting world from Randy Moss' infamous opposing goal post butt rub to just about every British soccer riot in the history of existence. However, did the US really do anything all that bad with their victory dance? 

The head coach of New Zealand's women's soccer team seems to think so, according to USA Today. 

During the ladies' quarterfinal match, the US' Abby Wambauch scored a decisive first-half goal that caused an impromptu celebration dance with her and her teammates. It included cartwheels and poses that imitated the U.S. women's gymnastic team. They also did something called "the worm" in an earlier match against North Korea that ended with a US win. 

New Zealand coach Tony Readings criticized their behavior saying that "we wouldn't do it" and thought it may have been "something I guess they work on in training. We try to work on scoring goals and stopping Wambach and [Alex] Morgan. We haven't got time to work on celebrations in training." 

Is that so, Readings? Well then, I suggest you put in a little more practice with your team because the U.S. beat New Zealand with a score of 2-0. So if that's the case, that means you just got your butt kicked by a bunch of players who spent more time choreographing their celebratory Rockettes high kicks than their corner kicks.

Humble athletes will often throw their victory back to their homeland for inspiring them to be their best and go for the gold. North Korea's athletes don't give the credit to their country. They give it all to just one man.

Deadspin compiled a collection of news announcements from the Korean Central News Agency in which either the agency announces their athletes thanking their humble dictator for giving them the strength to achieve victory. 

Weightlifter Om Yun Choi won gold in the men's category for North Korea. The agency released a statement that Choi told reporters, "the secret is nothing but the loving care of leader Kim Jong Il and the dear respected Kim Jong Un." 

Rim Jong Sim also won a gold medal in weightlifting for North Korea's women's team. According to the KCNA, she said she was able to carry herself through her brutal training regime by focusing on her "duty to give joy to the supreme leader Kim Jong Un. This was my motivation and helps me to exert extra power." 

She also reportedly said after her win, "The only thing I want to do right now is to run to our dear General with my gold medal in my hand." 

How sweet is that? Who says that they are the "naughty Korea"?

Just when it looked like the entire United States boxing team had been eliminated from the Olympics, it got a reprieve after a protest was upheld. Welterweight Errol Spence lost to Krishan Vikas on Friday, but had the result overturned by amateur boxing's governing body. 

Vikas was originally ruled to have won 13-11, but the U.S. team protested the result. The AIBA's competition jury reviewed the bout and concluded that Vikas had committed nine holding fouls in the third round alone. The Indian fighter also intentionally spit out his mouthpiece in the second round, which should have led to at least a four-point deduction. 

Spence looked shocked when the original decision was announced, and the referee in the ring began to raise his hand before raising Vikas'. The 22-year-old American appeared to dominate the defensive-minded Vikas. It appeared that yet another American fighter had succumbed to the vague amateur scoring system.

The Americans immediately lodged the appeal and five hours later the result was overturned. 

Spence will now move on to the quarterfinals as a result of winning the appeal, and he will face Russia's Andrey Zamkovoy of Russia on Tuesday. 

If Spence beats Zamkovoy, he'll be guaranteed no worse than a bronze medal. If he loses, the United States men's boxing team will leave the Olympics without a medal for the first time ever.

The London Olympics has had a small but growing crowd of protestors demonstrating outside of the Games, long before the Games officially started. 

Two women tried to up their protest game by holding a topless protest in front of London's City Hall, according to Reuters.

The women belonged to the Ukrainian women's rights group Femen. The group are known for staging similar protests across Europe, Poland and the Ukraine over a number of serious women's issues including a protest at the Euro 2012 football tournament in Poland. 

These women were in London to protest the Games for allowing "bloody Islamist regimes" to participate in the Olympics. They smeared themselves with fake blood, wrote phrases like "Olympic shame" and "No Sharia" on their chests, donned floral wreaths and disrobed down to the waist.

The women were only able to hold their protest for about 10 minutes when police showed up and arrested them.

Any big sporting event is bound to attract ticket scalpers and the Olympics are no exception. The London Metropolitan Police claim they have arrested 29 suspects and charged 11 with re-selling tickets for events to the London Summer Olympics. 

One of the charged suspects, however, wins the gold medal for ticket scalping at this year's games, according to Metro.co.uk. 

German native Wolfgang Menzel was picked up for trying to sell tickets to the Games and police discovered he had 31 tickets on him. A search of his hotel room turned up 20 additional tickets. There were worth more than 23,000 pounds in total, or nearly $36,000 in American money.

Menzel said he was just a big sports fan who wanted to attend the Games, but his purchases got out of hand and he couldn't find enough family and friends to use them. So he had no choice but to try and sell what he could to recoup his losses. His defending attorney added that he didn't know reselling the tickets was illegal in the UK. 

Menzel ended up admitting to his charge in a magistrates' court but the district judge believed his story and only sentenced him to a fine of 435 pounds. I wonder, could he pay his fine in tickets?
